Little Prince Felix was riding high when his dad, Prince Joachim of Denmark, lifted the youngster onto his shoulders for a stroll round a French market in the ancient town of Cahors.
A picture of cool in his back-to-front cap, Felix, who turns four later this month, clutched a leaflet he'd picked up during their wanderings – possibly to show his doting dad more fun things to do during their relaxing break in Western France. Beaming happily, the little boy, whose older brother Nikolai was missing from the outing, helped his father pick out some fresh fruit at one of the busy stalls.
Cahors is a favourite destination for the Danish royals, who love to retreat to the family's beautiful Chateau de Cayx. Joachim's parents, Queen Margrethe and French-born Prince Henrik, bought the estate in 1974 and export wine from the vineyards throughout the world.
Aside from his father's heritage, Joachim's French connections are now even stronger: he has settled into a serious relationship with his Gallic girlfriend Marie Cavallier. He still remains on good terms with his former wife of nine years, Princess Alexandra, and they share custody of their two boys.
