There was no shortage of support for Prince William and his little brother Harry when they competed in a charity polo match at the weekend. The two princes' girlfriends, Kate Middleton and Chelsy Davy, were both cheering from the sidelines at the Tidworth Park event, along with their cousin Zara Phillips.

Wills was given permission to take a break from his officer training at Sandhurst in order to take part in the Hackett Rundle Cup, while his fun-loving sibling, who is well-known for his talent on the polo field, was also eager to strut his stuff.

As the two Wales boys did their best to help the Army team overcome their Navy challengers, their leading ladies Kate and Chelsy chatted warmly on the sidelines. The first in line's longtime girlfriend was looking pretty in a halterneck summer dress, while the South African student kept cool in a simple white skirt and top.

Zara also donned her riding gear on Saturday afternoon, although she wasn't taking part in the main fixture. Princess Anne's daughter, who was named European eventing champion last year, was relying on pedal power instead as she showed off her sporting skills in a game of bicycle polo.
