Camilla turns domestic goddess on school trip

She is a Duchess now, but that didn't stop the Prince of Wales' wife getting into the kitchen on a visit to a school in Crewe. Donning an apron over her pale blue Robinson Valentine suit, Camilla mucked in with some domestic chores during a cookery lesson.

The engagement was to support a healthy living campaign encouraging youngsters to swap junk food for fresh produce. After helping to cut up vegetables for a meal, the royal set a good example by sampling a fruit smoothie.

Later Camilla got even more down to earth when she enjoyed a cup of tea in a potting shed during a visit to an urban allotment. The Duchess was forced to take shelter from heavy rain inside the shed as she met members of the Brookhouse Urban Garden Scheme in Cheshire. Then, despite her elegant attire and beige shoes, the mother-of-two braved the muddy plots, where local school children grow their own organic vegetables.
