Denmark's enormously popular Princess Alexandra has stepped out in public with her new beau Martin Joergensen for the first time. The couple were photographed arm-in-arm as they attended the wedding of some close friends in Copenhagen at the weekend.
The 42-year-old has been dating Martin for over a year, but Saturday's ceremony marked the first time they have attended a public event together. She separated from Prince Joachim, with whom she has two sons, Nikolai, seven, and Felix, four, towards the end of 2004. The princess remains on good terms with her ex-husband, though, and the two are often seen spending time together when there is a significant event in the children's lives.
Alexandra is also known for her sense of style, and she certainly lived up to her reputation on Saturday when she donned a stunning floor-length dress in burgundy velvet for the church ceremony. Her handsome leading man made an appropriately dashing escort in a black tuxedo and tails.
