Queen Noor of Jordan found herself sharing the limelight with Hollywood stars and runway sirens when she turned out for a prizegiving in New York at the weekend. The elegant royal met up with former supermodel Claudia Schiffer and Charlie's Angels bombshell Lucy Liu at the Women's World Awards on Saturday night.
The Middle Eastern beauty was honoured with the world tolerance award in recognition of her long-running commitment to human rights causes. She was not the only one basking in glory at the glitzy event, though, as catwalk queen Claudia, who looked stunning in a lacy white gown, received the world style award.
Thelma And Louise star Susan Sarandon meanwhile picked up a lifetime achievement trophy, thanks to her many accomplishments on the silver screen, while her fellow movie veteran Whoopi Goldberg was named winner of the world entertainment award.
Desperate Housewives favourite Teri Hatcher was also on hand, sharing the presenting duties with Nobel Peace Prize winner Mikhail Gorbachev. And there was no shortage of star power in the audience, with Danny Glover, Gloria Estefan and Chaka Khan among the big names who went along to show their appreciation.
