Denmark's Princess Mary was just like any other weekend shopper she enjoyed a trip to a local market on Saturday in her hometown of Hobart. The stylish mum is keeping her Aussie visit as low-key as possible to enjoy time with her family and friends before returning to her royal duties.
Casually dressed in a camel jacket and jeans, Mary browsed several stalls along with her sister Patricia Bailey, her two nieces and father John Donaldson. Her husband Crown Prince Frederik opted out of the shopping excursion while their son Prince Christian happily snoozed in his pram under a blanket.
The one-year-old, who is affectionately nicknamed Kingaroo in Australia, made a brief appearance at one point, however, to receive an affectionate peck on the cheek from his devoted mum.
As wife of the future king of Denmark, Mary's wardrobe is well stocked with couture gowns and fabulous jewels but the 34-year-old looked keen to snap up some bargains. The princess, who is three months pregnant with her second child, stopped to check out some leather handbags and handmade beaded necklaces as well as tourist memorabilia.
Tasmanian-born Mary, who last visited Australia in March 2005 when she was two-months pregnant with Christian, is relaxing with her family at her sister Jane Stephens' home in West Hobart.
