As two of Europe's most elegant princesses they are used to turning heads. And neither Maxima of the Netherlands or Spain's Princess Letizia are letting their baby bumps get in the way of their fashionable wardrobe choices.

Argentinian-born Princess Maxima, a former investment banker, went for the season's trendy wild theme when she turned up for a concert at the De Flint theatre in Amersfoot wearing a floaty leopard-print ensemble. The wife of Crown Prince Willem-Alexander, who is due to give birth in the second half of April, looked radiant as she smiled for the waiting photographers.

Her Spanish counterpart, meanwhile, opted for a pretty paisley print dress to welcome teachers and pupils to an event in aid of childhood rights at Madrid's Zarzuela Palace. Her neat bump clearly showing, Letizia has already revealed that the newcomer - due in May - will be a sister for her and Crown Prince Felipe's first-born, Princess Leonor.
