Regardless of what title she takes, as the wife of the heir to the throne Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall, will one day be queen to Prince Charles' king.
This week on a visit to the Essex headquarters of children's charity Barnardo's, of which she's been president since December 2007, she was called upon to unveil a bronze bust of the matriarch currently filling that role - Queen Elizabeth.
At the same time she welcomed several new celebrity ambassadors into the Barnardo's fold, Melinda Messenger, Rosamund Pike, Heather Small, Goodness Gracious Me star Nina Wadia, Lynda Bellingham and Andy Serkis' wife, actress Lorraine Ashbourne.
Perhaps inspired by the unveiling of the image, I'm A Celebrity… winner Christopher Biggins had an amusing anecdote about her mother-in-law to share with the Duchess. He recounted a conversation he had with the Queen at a fundraising auction, during which he told the monarch they were auctioning jewellery.
"She put her hand over her beautiful pearl necklace and went off with a twinkle in her eye," Chris informed Camilla, to her great amusement.
