Such persistence in any other female fan might be frowned on. But as the lady in question was just two Prince Charles laughingly obliged when he was asked for a cuddle.
The first step in Bronwen Giles' plan was to execute a perfect curtsey for the heir to the throne as he visited a creche at an RAF base in North Wales. After the curtsey, the toddler's next move was to demand he pick her up with uplifted arms and a winning expression.
Faced with this intense charm offensive Charles caved in and picked up her up while showing her some pictures she'd been pointing towards.
Her mother Liz, who runs the nursery at RAF Valley in Anglesey, said: "Bronwen loves meeting people and she has been excited about meeting the Prince".
"She has been practising her curtsey every day, but I never expected her to run over to him and ask for a pick-up. Prince Charles was lovely to her and it brought a tear to my eye," she added.
The Prince was at the base to meet service personnel who will train his son William to fly search and rescue missions next year.
