Last year he was perhaps a little too young to fully understand what was going on, but this time there was no stopping Prince Christian as he joined his parents at an annual boating competition in Miami. Clad in a bright orange lifejacket the three-year-old accompanied dad Prince Frederik aboard his vessel Nanoq to help make the final preparations for the race.

The Danish crown prince, who was competing a sailing competition scheduled as part of the run up to this year's world championships, and his Tasmania-born wife Crown Princess Mary showed the youngster the ins and out of the boat.

Back on dry land the duo were joined by Christian's one-year-old sister Isabella as they cheered on their dad in the regatta.
