With the likes of Michelle Obama, Queen Rania of Jordan and Paris Hilton all singing her praises, Sarah Brown is carving out an international reputation as the down-to-earth and charming wife of Britain's prime minister.

And she further boosted her street cred on Friday when she slipped on a pair of wellies to join another famous pal – Naomi Campbell – and the rest of the festival goers at Glastonbury.

Sensibly dressed in charity wellington boots - necessary for taking on Friday's water-logged fields - and a buttoned navy dress, Sarah sheltered her supermodel friend with another festival essential, a brolly, as they toured the Somerset site and met with founder Michael Eavis.

While the pair were joining forces at Glastonbury to promote a worthy cause – they were championing the Millions Mum campaign, which aims to stop the deaths of women in childbirth all over the world – that didn’t stop them having fun. The mum-of-two and Naomi – who secured a pair of sought-after £250 Jimmy Choo wellies for the occasion - were spotted giggling together as they traipsed through the grass, the affection between them evident in a picture Sarah later shared on her Twitter page.

Once again celebrity spotters were overwhelmed with famous faces on hand during the three day event. As well as seeing the likes of the Black Eyed Peas, Blur, Bruce 'The Boss' Springsteen and Lily Allen up on stage, campers mingled with a number of celebs on site.

Among them were Geldof sisters, Peaches and Pixie, jazz musician Jamie Cullum and actress Jaime Winstone. Also there to work was Radio DJ Jo Whiley, who - evidently keen to familiarise her youngest with the music scene - brought along her eight-month-old daughter Coco Lux.

So what's the story with Twitter…? In case you haven't already discovered it, Twitter is a free social networking service which enables users to share messages. Since it launched in 2006, it has become a hit with celebs. Check out hellomagazine.com's celebrity Twitter page
