Visitors to Denmark's Legoland at the weekend might not have thought there was anything unusual about the happy family crammed into one of the attraction's boat rides. A closer look would have revealed, however, that the tight-knit group was headed up by none other than Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary. And the casually-dressed royal couple certainly had their hands full. Apart from their own children, they had also brought along Frederik's two nephews Nikolai, nine, and seven-year-old Felix – his brother Joachim's sons from his first marriage to Alexandra, Countess of Frederiksborg.Completing the clan was Frederik's cousin, Princess Alexandra of Sayn-Wittgenstein-Berleburg – whose mother Princess Benedikte is Queen Margrethe's younger sister.
With her were her two children Count Richard von Pfeil und Klein-Ellguth, also nine, and five-year-old Countess Ingrid, one of the heir-to-the throne's goddaughters. There was plenty of fun to be had for the group in Billund. While fun mum Mary, 37, jumped on a frog-themed ride with her own her youngsters Christian, three, and two-year-old Isabella, her husband kept the boys entertained as they explored the park. The fun day out with the kids couldn’t have come at a better time. While they kept the littles ones occupied, the rest of the royal family were no doubt preparing for the christening of Joachim and Marie's first baby together, Henrik, the following day.
