They're constantly hitting headlines for their elegant fashion choices, and this week was no exception for Princesses Mary and Marie. All eyes were on the sisters-in-law as they arrived with their royal spouses for the opening of the new Danish parliamentary season at Christiansborg Palace in Copenhagen - an event traditionally attended by the royal family. Prince Frederik's pretty wife Mary was on form in a classic black long-sleeved dress teamed with faun stilettos and a quirky wide-brimmed titfer. Meanwhile new mum Marie, who welcomed her son Henrik four months ago, made an impression in an army-style coat and a matching beret. And adding to the refined look was a sophisticated Forties-style up'do.

Since arriving on the royal scene, the France-born royal has become increasingly secure in her sense of style. Last week she was the image of boho chic at the society wedding of some dear friends of her and Prince Joachim's.
