Thanks to her high profile, however, her efforts are often the source of controversy – just recently she came under fire for her report on a Manchester housing estate.Her undercover visit to a Turkish orphanage last year has also hit headlines.And that saga is set to continue with the news Sarah has been served a series of demands by Scotland Yard.Acting on the behest of Turkish authorities – who asked the Home Office to help investigate claims the Duchess broke the law by filming – officers presented letters to Sarah's lawyer plus two ITV journalists, the Mail reports.That means, in theory, that she could be brought in for questioning over the show.Sarah and the journalists have been accused of trespassing and illegally filming the undercover documentary. The demands are thought to be a list of accusations the trio can respond to – essentially a request for evidence.
The programme in question showed Sarah – disguised in a black wig – exposing the harsh conditions in orphanages, including footage of children tied to their beds. A spokesman for the Home Office confirmed it has "received a formal request for mutual assistance concerning Sarah, Duchess of York." Sarah's own spokeswoman has also said: "The Duchess of York has received a request for information and will be co-operating fully with that request." A source close to the mum-of-two added: "Sarah stands by the film and would be willing to fight all the way. She did it for the children and has no interest in the politics of it."
