It's not known whether she's a big fan of Sex and the City or not, but Crown Princess Mette-Marit of Norway seemed to have taken inspiration from the show's heroine Carrie Bradshaw as she attended a state dinner in Oslo this week.
The blonde royal stepped out in a pair of elegant and black and gold Valentino heels that Carrie would no doubt have coveted, and jazzed up the effect with some fucsia nail polish. And the pretty shoes were the icing on the cake of Mette-Marit's ultra-glam look, which consisted of an embroidered ivory-coloured dress, satin overcoat and super shiny blonde curls.
Her polished appearance was in honour of a dinner in Oslo for Heads of State and Government on the occasion of the Oslo Climate and Forest Conference. There she met up with royal environmentalist Prince Charles, one of the speakers at the conference.
He used the opportunity of his speech to urge the representatives of the some 30 countries gathered at the meeting to focus on the contributors of deforestation such as agriculture, encouraging governments to work together to reach a solution that enhances ecosystems and protects local communities.
