She's due to give birth any day now. But that didn't stop Princess Marie from joining the rest of the Danish royals in celebrating Queen Margrethe's 40 years on the throne. The France-born royal made an elegant appearance on the balcony of Copenhagen's Amalienborg Palace on Sunday with the rest of the clan.
Showing off her baby bump in a pretty purple dress and with her brunette tresses falling over her shoulders in soft waves, Marie was radiant. If she's feeling tired as her pregnancy draws to a close, the 35-year-old certainly wasn't showing it. Marie shared loving looks with her husband Prince Joachim, who held their two-year-old Prince Henrik. Completing the family lineup were Marie's stepsons Nikolai and Felix, Joachim's sons from his marriage to Alexandra, Countess of Frederiksborg.
An estimated 10,000 people had gathered for a chance to wish Queen Margrethe well. They were also rewarded with a glance at Princess Mary and Prince Frederik's little twins Jospehine and Vincent, who were attending their most high profile royal event to date. The adults attended a gala dinner in the evening to mark the Ruby Jubilee, though Marie wasn't in attendance.
