The stunning Swiss Alps are the backdrop for Mary of Denmark and her photogenic family as they are pictured enjoying a winter ski break in Verbier. The princess and her husband, Frederik, were joined by their brood of four during their annual holiday - and got in some lovely snaps for the family album.
The two eldest, Christian, six, and Isabella, four, are already pros at protocol and stood proudly alongside mum and dad. But it's the first time on the slopes for twins Josephine and Vincent, who just turned one in January, and were bounced on their doting parents’ laps. The perfect family scenes come hot on the heels of intimate portraits released to coincide with Mary’s 40th birthday on February 5.
The brunette's personal contentedness shines through in both sets of images. She recently hailed this "wonderful stage" of her life and added: "At 40 years old you simply know what life is about. I am happy to continue with my journey through time".
