MARCH 2012

  • 7th March The Earl and Countess of Wessex leave the shores of Antigua and Barbuda to return to the UK.
  • 2nd – 8th March Prince Harry visits Belize, The Bahamas and Jamaica on behalf of the Queen.
  • 3rd March – 1st September Exhibition at Royal Crown Derby Visitors Centre, Derby (correct name of exhibition to be confirmed)
  • 8th March Queen, Prince Philip and Duchess of Cambridge visit De Montfort University in Leicester 
  • 16th March – 4th November Treasures from the Queen’s Palaces exhibition, Holyrood House, Scotland
  • 23rd MarchThe Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh visit Manchester and Salford
  • 26th March Victoria Revealed, Kensington Palace (new permanent exhibition celebrating only other British monarch to reach diamond jubilee)
  • 29th March The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh visit North London – Redbridge, Walthamstow, HarrowCrown Jewels re-displayed in a new exhibition at Tower of London

APRIL 2012

  •  1st April Faithful Companions Exhibition, SandringhamBalmoral opens – photographic equine exhibition and dress exhibition in ballroom
  • 26th April – 9th September Royal River: Power, Pageanty and The Thames exhibition at the National Maritime Museum, Greenwich
  • 26th April – 27th April The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh visit Wales – Cardiff, Margam,Merthyr Tydfil, Aberfan, Ebbw Vale, Galnusk Park

MAY 2012

  • 1st – 2nd MayThe Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh visit the South West – Sherborne, Salisbury, Crewkerne, Yeovil, Exeter
  • 10th, 11th & 13th MayDiamond Jubilee Pageant, Windsor Castle - Equestrian display
  • 13th MayThe Queen will be present at the Diamond Jubilee Pageant in Windsor, Berkshire
  • 9th – 13th MayMay Royal Windsor Horse show
  • 15th May The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh visit South London – Bromley, Merton, Richmond
  • 16th May – 17th May The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh visit the North West – Burnley, Accrington, Warrington, Chester, Liverpool
  • 24th May – 31st October Jubilee: A View from the Crowd – Exhibition on Queen Victoria’s Jubliee celebrations, Kensington Palace

JUNE 2012

  • 2nd – 5th June = Central Jubilee Weekend 2nd June Diamond Jubilee Central Weekend: Queen to attend Debson Derby
  • 3rd June Diamond Jubilee Central Weekend: The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh at the Thames Diamond Jubilee Pageant
  • 4th June Diamond Jubilee Central Weekend: The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh present at the BBC Diamond Jubilee Concert at Buckingham Palace. Afterwards Her Majesty will light the National Beacon to commemorate the Diamond Jubilee.
  • 5th JuneThe Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh will attend a Service of Thanksgiving at St. Paul's Cathedral, London EC4
  • 2nd – 10th JuneRoyal Cars Jubilee exhibition, Heritage Motor Centre, Warwickshire
  • 13th – 14th June The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh visit the East Midlands – Nottingham, Burghley, Corby, Stevenage, Hatfield
  • 16th June Trooping the Colour, Horse Guards Parade, London
  • 25th June The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh visit the South East – Henley-On-Thames

JULY 2012

  • 2nd – 6th July The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh visit Scotland (Holyrood Week) – Edinburgh, Glasgow, Dunbartonshire, Renfrewshire, Perth
  • 11th – 12th July The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh visit the West Midlands – Hereford, Worcester, Birmingham, Shropshire
  • 18th – 19th July The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh visit the North East – Sunderland, South Tyneside, North Tyneside, Gateshead, Durham City, Stockton-on-Tees, Leeds
  • 25th July The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh visit the South East – Cowes, Isle of Wight, New Forest, Hampshire
  • 31st July – 30th September Diamonds: A Jubilee Celebration, Buckingham Palace

Overseas visits by Members of the Royal Family

Members of the Royal Family will travel overseas representing The Queen throughout the Diamond Jubilee year, visiting every Realm as well as undertaking visits to Commonwealth countries, Crown Dependencies and British Overseas Territories.

Her Majesty has asked that these visits include the following:

  • The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall: Australia, Canada, New Zealand, Papua New Guinea
  • The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall: Channel Islands, Isle of Man
  • The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge: Malaysia, Singapore, Solomon Islands, Tuvalu
  • Prince Harry: Belize, Jamaica, The Bahamas
  • The Duke of York: India
  • The Earl and Countess of Wessex: Antigua and Barbuda, Barbados, Gibraltar, Grenada, Montserrat, St. Kitts and Nevis, St. Lucia, St. Vincent and the Grenadines, Trinidad and Tobago
  • The Princess Royal: Mozambique, Zambia
  • The Duke of Gloucester: British Virgin Islands, Malta
  • The Duke of Kent: Falkland Islands, UgandaFurther details of the regional and overseas visits will be announced in due course.
