Speaking during an interview with the BBC, Harry said: "I have been trying to get myself a place for years. I can't get myself a place. What do you have to do?""What's fantastic is that my brother and his wife will be doing it next year, I think. He's going to have to now, isn't he?" But Clarence House later confirmed the pair wouldn't be running, saying the Prince's comments were made "in jest".

Later, he congratulated Kenyans Mary Keitany and Wilson Kipsang (pictured above) as they crossed the finish line. Mary triumphed in the women's category while Wilson was the fastest amongst the men. Of their efforts, admiring Harry said: "It's staggering. I always presume that after about 10 or 12 miles your body just shuts down and you go into overdrive because they come across the line, no-one's sweating." He also made a cheeky reference to his 'victory' over Usain Bolt during his Jubilee tour. "The 100m final, 200m final   I was asked to take part in that   but I've already beaten Usain (Bolt) so that doesn't need to happen again."
