The Duchess of Cambridge reached another important royal milestone on Tuesday when she stepped out at her very first garden party.Kate recycled the same pink Emilia Wickstead dress she wore for the Royal Sovereign's lunch in honour of the Queen's Jubilee at Windsor Castle two weeks ago. As one of the most popular royal representatives, the Duchess proved a big hit amongst her fellow guests, who gathered around eagerly waiting for their chance to chat.
And she complied with her usual grace and charm, meeting and greeting many of the invitees as they mingled on the plush lawns. The brunette attended the engagement without husband Prince William, who was on RAF duty.
The Queen considers her granddaughter-in-law so capable she was by her side at the start of the nationwide Jubilee tour in Leicester.
And Kate was also invited to welcome overseas royal visitors at Windsor Castle earlier this month.
The Queen's garden parties are considered to be highlights of the summer season.
And despite her busy Jubilee schedule, the monarch has already hosted the first of the year.
A week ago, she spent more than two hours receiving guests at Buckingham Palace alongside her husband. Some 8,000 people join the Queen and Prince Phillip for tea in the grounds of the Palace at each garden party.
Around 27,000 cups of tea, 20,000 sandwiches and 20,000 slices of cake were consumed.
