With baby Estelle safely tucked up at home, Crown Princess Victoria put her best fashion foot forward to champion Swedish couture.Presumably it was husband Prince Daniel's turn to look after the couple's daughter as the Swedish royal made an appearance to open Stockholm Fashion Week.
After posing with a bouquet on the red carpet, Victoria then cut the ribbon at the inauguration ceremony, before taking her seat in the front row for the opening show, that of designer Fadi el Khoury.
Gunilla Grübb, of the Association of Swedish Fashion Brands was happy to have the support of the princess: "We are incredibly pleased and proud to have Victoria inaugurate Fashion Week. Her involvement and presence brings prestige to the week, especially internationally," she said.Victoria isn't the only high-profile lady to be involved with her local Fashion Week.Spain's Princess Letizia inaugurated Madrid's Spring 2011 shows, Princess Mary of Denmark often launches Copenhagen fashion week and UK Prime Minister's wife Samantha Cameron is a champion of London Fashion Week.
Designers showing during the three-day event also include Mayla, Nhu Duong, Maria Nordström and Dagamar.Princess Victoria and her husband Prince Daniel were seen just recently welcoming visitors to a garden which was given to them as a wedding present.
The couple, who were maried in June 2010 are proud parents to Princess Estelle, who was born in February 2012.
