With her tumbling tresses, sparkling eyes and cascading evening gown, Madeleine of Sweden looks every inch a princess. The royal was on fine form as she attended a gala dinner in New York on Wednesday evening. Her glamorous choice of dress was a world away from the incognito look Madeleine prefers as she goes about her daily business in the Big Apple with her financier boyfriend Chris O'Neill.
But the pretty royal retrieved her regal touch for the soiree at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel. In Chris' absence, Madeleine was enjoying the company of her parents, King Carl Gustaf and Queen Silvia. Silvia has been a regular visitor since her daughter relocated to New York following her split from fiancé Jonas Bergstrom. The move brought some initial resistance from King Carl Gustaf – who it was reported had hoped his daughter would stay in Sweden and assume more duties as a working royal.
But now that Madeleine has carved out a niche representing her country stateside, the monarch is surely happy with the compromise.
The day before their glamorous family outing, the Swedish royals had also joined forces for the Swedish-American Chamber Of Commerce Green Summit.
In a nod to the theme of the night, Madeleine wore a formal emerald dress cinched in at the waist.
