October 11, 2012

His long and busy week at the Conservative Party Conference all seemed to be worth it for Prime Minister David Cameron as he received a loving kiss from his wife Samantha.Following a moving keynote speech about disability benefit, Mr Cameron was joined on stage by his wife who congratulated him with a public display of affection.

In a dark suit and purple tie, the Prime Minister spoke personally about his late son Ivan, who died in 2009, aged six, after suffering with cerebal palsy.Mr Cameron said "when I used to push my son Ivan in his wheelchair, I always thought some people saw the wheelchair, not the boy. "But David, who celebrated his 46th birthday on Tuesday, cited this Summer's Paralympic Games as having a positive impact on how disability is perceived. The Prime Minister and his wife were on the verge of tears as he said "I am so grateful for what all those Paralympians did."

Adding that "today more people would see the boy – and that's because of what happened here this summer. "As the speech drew to an end the audience at Birmingham Symphony Hall erupted into applause as David welcomed his wife to the stage.Wearing a royal blue dress from Joseph with a grey belt to match her grey LK Bennett shoes, 41-year-old Samantha added star power to her husband's big moment.
