Prince William and pregnant Kate Middleton surprised Cheltenham racegoers when they made a glamorous appearance for the final day of racing. The mum-to-be looked radiant in a vintage pink coat and, in keeping with racing etiquette, her accessories were also ideal.Kate's bow-trimmed brown felt hat by Lock & Co, matching Stuart Weitzman boots and clutch all perfectly complemented her outfit, which may well prove to be an iconic choice in her maternity wear.
Earlier in the week, fellow Windsors Princess Anne and Zara Phillips had delighted Cheltenham crowds with royal sightings. The Queen's daughter also appeared on Friday, shortly before William and his wife showed up to cheer on Mike Tindall's horse Monbeg Dude. And Kate's sister Pippa Middleton had also stepped out in an outfit that was very similar to the one her pregnant sister had worn to the same event in 2006; her Katherine Hooker London coat and fur Cossack hat evoked the look the Duchess had previously put together. That iconic ensemble marked the beginning of Kate's rich – and stylish – history at the races. In 2007, again with the help of Katherine Hooker, she showcased a baby blue jacket skillfully accessorised with a beret, and tapestry scarf.
Days earlier, she had shown off a tweed two piece by the same designer as she watched the action alongside William and his cousin Zara Phillips. Finally, in 2008, Kate tried an edgier look with a short navy trench and stylish trilby.
Now about to become a mother for the first time, Kate's 2013 outfit remained faithful to her classically elegant style.
