Prince Charles and the Duchess of Cornwall had a creative afternoon when they visited an art project on Thursday. The royals were touring the Katara Cultural Village in Doha, Qatar, on the fourth day of their Middle East tour when the children urged them to roll up their sleeves and get involved.
The royals obliged and shared a joke with their young charges as the group painted together. Charles and Camilla were touring the workshop of the School of Prince Charles for Traditional Arts, an endeavor which is organised by the British Council. The royal couple are currently on the second leg of a tour of the Middle East taking in Qatar, Saudia Arabia and Oman. Their trip began in Jordan. On Thursday, the couple also visited Doha's Science and Technology Park, where the Duchess met Bedouin women being trained as sales agents for mobile phone companies.
Camilla sat down with the women to talk about how their lives have been changed. They told her that through selling phones and tariffs they have been able to increase their household income. The Duchess told them: "Well, I think you are all really brilliant. I don't know how you manage it, especially with all those husbands and children. "I can see how your confidence has rocketed."
