Prince Albert of Monaco and his wife Princess Charlene enjoyed a day out at the tennis this weekend. The Monegasque royals watched as Novak Djokovic of Serbia defeated Rafael Nadal in the final of the Monte Carlo Masters, ending the Spaniard's eight year reign in the competition. Princess Charlene, 35, looked ace in a blue blazer and an airy, pleated maxi skirt which sat perfectly on her athletic figure. A pair of navy flats by Giorgio Armani completed the chic look.
The South African-born royal and her husband closely followed the action from the royal box before descending onto the court to present trophies to both players. Monaco's Monte Carlo Masters competition is an annual event for the principality's ruler and his glamorous wife. When Charlene attended last year, she choose the occasion to debut a sleek new bob, a hairstyle which she still favours today. The last fun-filled engagement Albert and Charlene attended was Monaco's glittering charity gala, the Rose Ball.
Both stepped out with Princess Caroline and her daughter Charlotte Casiraghi. There was plenty reason for the Grimaldis to celebrate on that occasion.Caroline had just become a grandmother after her son Andrea Casiraghi welcomed a son, Sacha, with his fiancée Tatiana Santo Domingo. Charlotte also used the occasion to step out with her French actor beau, Gad Elmaleh.
