Awaiting the arrival of your first child is an exciting time for any father-to-be, and Prince William is no exception. The royal has revealed how much he is looking forward to becoming a dad when his wife Kate Middleton welcomes their baby this summer. The Prince discussed impending fatherhood as he was given a teddy bear wearing a babygro emblazoned with the words 'My Daddy is a Hero', during a visit to the Help for Heroes recovery centre with Prince Harry on Monday.
"Are you looking forward to it, sir?" asked Corporal Josh Boggi, a triple amputee. "Very much so," replied William, who is due to become a father in July.
"All the mothers have been looking at me, 'Just you want, just you wait. Long sleepless night!" he added.
Asked what advice he would give William, Corporal Boggi, carrying his two-and-a-half -year-old son Jenson said, "I would say just enjoy every moment of it. It's been the best experience of my life having a little boy."
Someone else clearly looking forward to the royal arrival is the baby's uncle, Harry. The Prince got in some playful practice during the visit, making a beeline for an adorable little boy being held by his grandmother in the crowd.
William, 30, and Harry went along to Tidworth House in Wiltshire to see a new recovery centre opened by Help For Heroes to help aid wounded troops — a cause both brothers care deeply about.
After a bit of pretend boxing and some funny faces, Harry, 28, had the youngster smiling when he dressed him up in a Help For Heroes baseball cap that he had earlier been presented with.
A rousing speech by RAF search and rescue helicopter pilot William officially opened the centre, which has the capacity to accommodate 50 residents, four families and over 150 day visitors. Following his brother's speech, serviceman Harry waved the flag to symbolically open the Hero Ride, in the biggest cycling demonstration of national support for the wounded this country has ever seen.
