Kate Middleton and Prince William will make "great parents" according to Mike Tindall, husband of Zara Phillips. "Willy, sorry, Prince William, will be outstanding while Kate is a natural mother," said rugby player Mike at a charity golf tournament on Tuesday. "I'm so happy for those two. They'll be great parents." The ex-England captain also revealed the royal family are excitedly awaiting the birth of the baby. "The whole family is really excited about the baby," he said. "I think everyone's excited."

Mike, who married Zara, the daughter of Princess Anne in 2011, also revealed the pair don't have any plans to expand their own family just yet. "Having kids is something we want, but it’s finding that window and we haven’t quite found that yet. It’s difficult," he told the Daily Mirror. Mike made the comments as he launched the 'Mike Tindall Inaugural Celebrity Golf Classic event', a charity golf tournament at the South Lodge Hotel in Horsham, where the sportsman was supported by his wife Zara Phillips. The event will help raise funds for two military charities that Mike supports – Rugby for Heroes and the On Course Foundation, which supports wounded servicemen though golfing events. The On Course Foundation is also supported by Mike's uncle-in-law Prince Andrew. Along with Mike Tindall and Zara Phillips, who wore a short dress and nude heels, the royal pair were joined by their glamorous celebrity friends former Coronation Street star Katherine Kelly and TV hosts Zoe Hardman andNatalie Pinkham.

Natalie later took to twitter to congratulate Mike on the event: "Grt eve for @TindallGolf £40k raised for @Rugbyforheroes" Mike married the Olympic winning equestrian Zara in a ceremony in Scotland in 2011, just months after the wedding of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge. In recent months, reports claimed that the couple were experiencing problems, but 34-year old Mike was quick to dismiss speculation. "It’s in no way true. We’re really happy," he said. The sporty pair have struck a close bond with William and Kate, and have been regularly spotted socialising with the couple. Prince William admitted he is anticipating becoming a father for the first time. Attending a Help for Heroes recovery centre on Monday, the Duke was asked "Are you looking forward to it, sir?" by Corporal Josh Boggi, a triple amputee. "Very much so," replied William.
