A Prince Harry lookalike has arrived at St Mary's Hospital in London where pregnant Kate Middleton is due to give birth to any day now.Prince Harry's double turned up with balloons and an overflowing cart full of gifts destined for the children who are being treated at the hospital. The royal double looked dapper in a black military uniform with shiny gold buttons, and sunglasses to keep his disguise in check. He was accompanied by a giant royal bear mascot who was sporting a gold crown and a Union Jack neckerchief.
The comedy duo posed outside the steps of the Lindo Wing in front of the hundreds of photographers and television crews stationed outside, waiting for the royal baby's birth. As part of their publicity stunt, the mascot carried a large sign encouraging royal watchers to get involved on Twitter with the hastag, #RoyalTeddy. Members of the public have taken part by suggesting names for the teddy, in the hope of winning a royal toybox from Hasbro. "The #royalteddy should be called Leopold — how has that gone out of fashion?!" posted one participant, while another tweeted, "He's a Rupert in my books #RoyalTeddy."
The Prince Harry lookalike and the toy mascot then moved on to Buckingham Palace where they posed for photographers and amused passers-by outside the royal grounds. These are not the only endearing characters to appear outside the Lindo Wing in preparation for Kate's birth. A Queen Elizabeth lookalike was previously spotted posing for photographers before being whisked away by police. Paddy Power also sent three men dressed in green onesies to pose on the maternity ward steps as giant royal babies.Perhaps the most endearing visit was from lifelong royal supporter Terry Hutt who arrived at the hospital last week dressed head to toe in a Union Jack outfit. Prince William and Kate's number one fan showed his support with a sign that said, "Congratulations Prince William, Catherine, hip, hip, hooray."
