Princess Charlene leads Monaco's royal family at the glamorous Love Ball in Monte Carlo

Monaco's royal family stepped out on Saturday night for the glittering annual Love Ball hosted by supermodel Natalia Vodianova. The Opera Garnier at the Casino de Monte-Carlo was a picture of opulent splendour as Princess Charlene, Princess Caroline and Tatiana Santo Domingo showed off an array of glamorous dresses.Princess Charlene, 35, wore a strapless pink lace gown which was covered in beads and jewels. Charlene, who recently holidayed with friends in Portofino , let her dress do all the talking by keeping her makeup to a minimum and only accessorising her outfit with a simple ivory clutch bag.The Zimbabwe-born princess held hands with her husband Prince Albert, who looked dapper in a black suit and bow tie, as the couple posed for photographs and entered the ball.

New mum Tatiana Santo Domingo, who gave birth to hers and Andrea Casiraghi's baby Sacha on 21 March, chose a cobalt blue gown as did Novak Djokovic's girlfriend, Jelena Ristic.

Jelena added a cream belt with a gold buckle to her striking dress and carried a matching clutch bag as she and Wimbledon finalist Novak joined the partygoers.Joining her son, Andrea and his fiancée  Tatiana, Prince Caroline of Hanover stepped out in a layered, white lace gown complete with white trim.

The guests enjoyed a lavish dinner and were treated to entertainment provided by Russian opera, ballet and a host of classical music stars before the evening's main event- a charity auction.

Lots such as a trip to Monaco complete with Louis Vuitton luggage, an internship with Chanel maestro Karl Lagerfeld at his offices in Paris and a Riviera diamond necklace from Russian jewelers Yana made up the high quality auction which raised money for the Naked Heart Foundation.

The charity, which was set up by Natalia in 2006, raises money for special needs children in her native Russia.

Guests who also enjoyed the gala dinner were designer Karl Lagerfeld, photographer to the stars Mario Testino, British socialite Tamara Veroni and her husband Giorgio and U2 singer Bono, who was joined by his wife and daughter.
