How Andrea Casiraghi and Tatiana Santo Domingo are celebrating their nuptials

August 31, 2013

Almost 30 years after his parents married in the Prince's Palace of Monaco, Andrea Casiraghi has tied the knot with his longtime love Tatiana Santo Domingo. The ceremony took place at midday on 31 August in the grounds of the Prince's Palace. No official communiqué has been issued about the wedding, except to confirm that it was taking place and protocol would be kept to a minimum. This is in keeping with the laidback, informal approach to life favoured by the couple who are parents to a baby son named Sacha.

After the ceremony it was time for the newlyweds and their 400 guests to celebrate.

Andrea and Tatiana were joined by the likes of Greek shipping heiress Eugenie Niarchos, the Missioni fashion family and Tatiana's influential New York-based siblings for an al fresco lunch by the Palace pool.

To make the celebrations even more special six barrels of beer straight from the Brasserie de Monaco were delieved. One picture, posted by one of the bride's close friends, shows Tatiana's brother Julio

In keeping with the relaxed atmosphere one guest sported a garland of flowers on her head.

The sunny weather, smiling faces and floral outfits all give the impression of a light-hearted joyful day that Tatiana and Andrea desired instead of a more formal royal wedding.

A special place in the bridal party was reserved for Charlotte Casiraghi, the groom's sister who introduced the pair. The royal beauty, who is thought to be about six months pregnant, attended the wedding with her partner and French screen heartthrob, Gad Elmaleh.

It is thought that the bridesmaids wore Dolce & Gabbana dresses

Last year Tatiana's best friend Margherita Missoni married in a gypsy-inspired setting, complete with acrobats, fortune tellers and painted caravans, which could have inspired mother-of-one Tatiana.
