With Crown Princess Mary of Denmark paying a special visit to a women's centre in Morocco, the prospect of meeting a real life princess generated untold excitement.Youngsters and adults alike, some bearing flowers for the VIP visitor, crowded round the elegant royal as she arrived at the LDDF Womens' Centre in the capital Rabat.
The 42-year-old mum of four looked in her element as she greeted young girls at the refuge, which supports victims of gender based violence. She was lovely as ever in an electric blue peplum top and white pencil skirt, finishing off the look with patent blue heels and a string of multicoloured beads.
Mary – currently on a three-day trip to the North African country – spent the previous day visiting the Mausoleum of Mohammed V.The historical building contains the tombs of the late Moroccan king and his two sons, King Hassan II and Prince Abdallah.
Covering her brunette locks with a pink satin headscarf as a mark of respect, and going barefoot in line with tradition, Tasmania-born Mary paid her respects to the late royals.
