Sophie, Countess of Wessex, is travelling around South Africa as part of her week-long official visit with her husband Prince Edward.

The radiant mother-of-two, who recently returned from her solo tour in India and Qatar, has eagerly started her busy schedule of royal engagements.Sophie looked stunning as she arrived at the Jabulile School in Orange Farm, donning a black, fitted dress with a gorgeous flower patterned print.

The blonde beauty waved to students as she arrived and was given a very warm welcome. As the sun shone down on the school playground, Sophie delivered an introductory speech to the young teenagers sat in a circle around her.

The elegant royal was then treated to a string of lively performances from the school children, who had prepared beautiful traditional songs and dances for their honoured guest. Sophie, who watched from the side, looked to be delighted at their routines as she beamed away and clapped loudly. Some of the students were so overcome with emotion at meeting the Countess, with one learner in particular pictured clutching her hand over mouth and hugging the royal.

Sophie also paid a visit to the Oprah Winfrey Leadership Academy for Girls on the same day, where she met and spoke with students. The girls, who were dressed immaculately in their green uniforms, grouped around Sophie and showed off their presentations. The British royal, who is touring the country in support of her husband's work with the South African President's "Award for Youth Empowerment Trust", also had the chance to meet some of the participants in the scheme.
