Glamorous royal Princess Charlene did her late mother-in-law Princess Grace proud as she attended an awards ceremony dedicated to her memory.The blonde royal channeled old Hollywood glamour in a dramatic olive green halter-neck dress at the Princess Grace Awards in New York on Wednesday night.
She helped fete winners, who included Oscar-nominated The Help actress Cicely Tyson. The 79-year-old star took home the big trophy of the night, the Prince Rainier III Award for leadership in the arts.The glitzy night was Charlene's latest outing in a string of US Princess Grace-related events – she has also recently attended a Princess Grace Foundation film screening and the opening of an exhibition featuring photos and artifacts from the life of the Hollywood royal-turned real life royal.
The South Africa-born beauty joined Ralph Lauren at a screening of To Catch A Thief, the 1955 thriller which starred her legendary late mother-in-law, and was directed by Alfred Hitchcock.Before that she had acompanied husband Prince Albert to the James A Mitchner Art Museum in Doylestown, Pennsylvania where the pair oficially opened the exhibition: 'From Philadelphia to Monaco: Grace Kelly, Beyond the Icon.
