Princess Victoria of Sweden and her husband Prince Daniel were all smiles as they were greeted by a crowd of onlookers in east London on Thursday when they made an official visit to Hackney Community College. It was the college’s second royal visit in two days – as the Duke of York had visited just one day earlier. The Swedish royals are on a two-day trip to London that includes a meeting with mayor Boris Johnson and a visit to Cambridge. The elegant Princess, who wore an on trend monochrome dress with her hair swept back in a bun, was in good spirits, sharing a joke with her husband.

Victoria and Daniel share a joke during their visit to London

This is the first time that Victoria has been seen in the British capital for quite some while – she pulled out of visiting the London 2012 Olympics to spend time with her baby Estelle. Victoria's visit comes in the same week that her younger sister Madeleine revealed that she is expecting a baby girl.

Victoria will undoubtedly be sharing tips on motherhood, which she describes as a "fantastic, wonderful feeling". The official trip was to boost economic relations between Britian and Sweden. The couple were joined by Sweden's minister for trade, Ewa Bjorling. They enjoyed lunch at Level 39, in Canary Wharf, which sits at the heart of what is known as Tech City. "Fantastic lunch," said a fellow guest. "Great discussions on innovation, creativity and entrepreneurship."

Ewa Bjorling said, "The creative and digital links between Sweden and the United Kingdom are becoming increasingly important in a globalised economy where competition for talent is fierce. We share an interest in enhancing the networks that tie our countries together to support our creative industries."
