Prince William has a good singing voice and should consider bringing out a charity single, US rock star Jon Bon Jovi has said.
The musician praised the Duke’s vocals after William joined Jon and Taylor Swift on stage to sing an impromptu version of Livin' on a Prayer at a charity gala this week. "His Royal Highness has 'it'," Jon said. "If he ever wants to give up his day job, we could do a charity single for Centre Point and the Jon Bon Jovi Soul Foundation.
"He was a great sport and I can assure you the man can sing. "William stunned guests when he took to the stage for the special performance at the Winter Whites Gala, which held in the grounds of Kensington Palace this week to raise funds for Centrepoint. He has been patron of the homeless charity since 2005.
It wasn’t just the guests the Prince impressed on the night – Taylor was clearly charmed by the down-to-earth royal.
"He was funny," the 23-year-old country star said of her introduction to William. "I was really happy he was funny."
Taylor performed a number of her hit tracks at the star-studded event. Appearing on stage, she said, "I'm Taylor, it is very nice to meet you, especially under these circumstances. It is my first time playing Kensington Place or any other palace for that matter.
"I have to thank you, Prince William, for having me. To call attention to this age group, especially teens and young adults.
”At the event, the Prince presented Jon with the Centrepoint Great Britain Youth Inspiration Award for his humanitarian work. The singer founded his Soul Foundation in the United States in 2006 which aims to help vulnerable people by giving them access to food and affordable housing with job training programmes.
