Prince Harry and girlfriend Cressida Bonas will spend Christmas apart, it has been reported.According to The Telegraph journalist Tim Walker, Cressida will not join Harry at Sandringham or take part in the traditional Boxing Day shoot. "Cressida will be with her family for Christmas," one of Cressida's close friends told the publication.Cressida has already been to Sandringham on two different occasions, but neither the Queen or Prince Philip were in residence at the time. According to a courtier "His Royal Highness knows that it would not be appropriate for Miss Bonas to join the Royal family for Christmas until they are a married couple."

The Prince, however, does plan to spend some quality time with his girlfriend of nearly two years before the 25 of December and after.

The couple were recently the subject of wedding rumours but last month, Cressida's half-brother denied that the socialite and Prince Harry were planning to tie the knot.

Jacobi Anstruther-Gough-Calthorpe said the buzz surrounding an impending wedding was "ludicrous".He also spoke about the media's intense interest in his younger half-sister, who is the daughter of his mother Lady Mary-Gaye Curzon by another marriage.

"It's challenging, you can't deny it," he said. "It's not something that is easy for anyone dating a royal or marrying into the family or anyone in the royal family themselves. "I think on some level it is different to any other type of fame. "It's just an invasion of privacy, which is hard. I mean, there are people who court that, and it's a different mentality. But when you're not, and you have to spend your life hiding from it, I think that becomes very exhausting and quite hard work. "And at times...I think it's a difficult thing, I think it's a very difficult thing."
