Speculation is mounting that Prince Harry is on the brink of proposing to his girlfriend Cressida Bonas. As a result, the odds for Harry popping the question to the pretty dancer have been cut to only 8:1, according to betting firm Ladbrokes. While the 29-year-old royal may make the first step towards marriage, it's unlikely he will marry Cressida this year, say oddsmakers. Those odds are 20:1.
The bets are on following Harry and Cressida making their first ever public appearances over the weekend. Until now the pair have kept an extremely low profile, seldom being pictured together at all. "The more Cressida is spotted with Harry, the more [customers] are convinced an engagement is on the cards sooner rather than later," said Jessica Bridge, public relations officer of Ladbrokes.
The pair showed they are ready to take the next step in their relationship on Friday when Cressida joined Harry at the launch of the very first WE Day at Wembley Arena. They sat together in the stands of the stadium, where Harry was at one point seen putting his arm round his 25-year-old love and Cressida sneaked in a quick kiss on the royal's cheek.
Then just two days later the handsome couple stepped out for their second ever high-profile outing, enjoying the rugby at Twickenham, where England and Wales were competing the Six Nations.
The couple have been together since May 2012 after Princess Eugenie introduced them. When Harry headed to Afghanistan at the end of 2012, they stayed in touch by phone and email, and this year in particular, have enjoyed a string of discreet dates.
The fourth-in-line to the throne matched his girlfriend in a white polo shirt and protected his eyes with a pair of dark sunglasses.
Sitting in the stands, Cressida was caught gazing lovingly at Harry as he watched the game. The blonde dance graduate, who is close friends with Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie, looked casual in a plain white T-shirt, gold hoop earrings and black sunglasses perched on her head.
