April 13, 2014

Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, William and Kate, swapped their more formal attire for jeans and trainers on Sunday as they got stuck in to a rugby tournament on the seventh day of their royal tour.

Having arrived in the city of Dunedin in the morning to a traditional welcome and a church service at St Paul's Cathedral it was time for the couple to enjoy some sporty fun at the Forsyth Barr stadium in Dunedin.

Kate changed out of her aquamarine Emilia Wickstead dress, opting for a cream jumper, jeans and grey trainers while William exchanged his navy suit for beige chinos, a blue jumper and a white shirt.

William's group won the game 30-20, a welcome victory for the Prince who lost two sailing races to Kate during their visit to Auckland earlier in the week.

Given the sporty competition between the husband and wife, William was sure to celebrate his team's win in front of Kate.

William and Kate then left Dunedin for Queenstown where they were due for a wine tasting engagement.

Quashing rumours that Kate is pregnant with the couple's second child, the Duke and Duchess sampled wines from the Otago region and toured the picturesque vineyard.

In the evening the royals took in the South Island scenery form the Shotover Jet as they made their way along the Shotover River before journeying to Christchurch where they are due to stay ahead of their engagements in the city on Monday.
