Kate and William make impromptu appearance at Sydney rugby match

April 19, 2014

Prince William and Kate made an unofficial visit to a rugby match on Saturday evening.

No sooner had the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge arrived back in the city after day of engagements in Queensland's capital Brisbane, the couple headed to watch the round 10 Super Rugby match between the New South Wales Waratahs and the South African Blue Bulls.

Given that the appearance was not an official engagement, William and Kate were dressed down for the outing.

Kate sported blue jeans, a grey jumper and a grey and white Beulah scarf, while her husband wore jeans and a blue shirt and jumper.

The sporty couple chatted to fellow attendees at the Allianz Stadium as they saw the home side win 19-12.

Their appearance at the rugby match topped off a busy day for the royal duo.
