Cressida Bonas 'wants to focus on her career'

April 30, 2014

A friend of Prince Harry and Cressida Bonas has revealed that Cressida, who recently graduated from the Laban school of dance, "wants to focus on her career". They added that: "Harry is really keen that she is allowed to get on with her life." The source also insisted that the couples' unexpected split, which emerged on Tuesday, was "very much an amicable one".

"It is a very amicable split, and they are still very much the best of friends. They have just decided to go their separate ways," reported the Mail Online. They spoke of reports that the couple of nearly two years had split because Cressda, 25, was "too needy"."Unfortunately it is true, they have split up. But this suggestion that the Prince supposedly 'dumped' Cressida because she was 'too needy' is so wide of the mark," they said.

Harry and Cressida's break-up comes as a big surprise to royal fans – the pair attended their first official engagement together just one month ago and have been seen publicly several times since. So the unexpected split may evoke memories of Prince William and Kate's short-lived break-up in 2007. Another source close to Cressida said on Tuesday night following the news: "Prince Harry is incredibly fond of Cressie and understands that she wants to do something with her life and with her career before she considers settling down." It wouldn't surprise me in the slightest if they got back together in a few months time."
