The Prince, who is now the most senior member of the royal family to send a tweet, was at the BT Tower in London to promote the multi-sport event for wounded soldiers, and was asked to mark the occasion by posting a tweet from the Invictus Games' account.

"Hope everyone will get behind #invictusgames," he wrote. "Great opportunity to support and thank the men and women who have given so much. Harry".
While taking his time to type the tweet, Invictus president Harry joked, "This is why I joined the army, I can't type properly" and encouraged the audience to "keep talking" while he checked his notes against what he had written.
Harry launches Invictus Games to recognise 'sacrifice' made by injured servicemen During the launch Harry also made a speech thanking telecommunications company BT, who have been announced as the games' sponsor.
The 29-year-old came up with the idea for the Paralympic-style sporting event following his tour of the US last year.

While in Colorado, Harry attended the Warrior Games which inspired him to recreate the event in the UK.
Speaking at the Copper Box Arena in London, Harry joked that the competition was "such a good idea by the Americans that it had to be stolen."
The Prince also described his motivation for launching the games. "I have witnessed firsthand how the power of sport can positively impact the lives of wounded, injured and sick servicemen and women in their journey of recovery," he said. "The Invictus Games will focus on what they can achieve post-injury and celebrate their fighting spirit through an inclusive sporting competition that recognises the sacrifice they have made.
"I am extremely proud to be bringing an event like this to the UK for the first time and believe it can have a long-lasting impact on the well-being of those who have served their nations so bravely."
The Invictus Games will take place from 10 to 14 September and will see 300 competitors from around the world take part in events, including shooting, sitting volleyball, track and field and wheelchair basketball — in keeping with the Warrior Games.
Celebrities including Daniel Craig, Joss Stone, Tom Hardy, Joanna Lumley, will.i.am and Rod Stewart showed their support by starring in a video urging people to get behind the Invictus Games. Watch the video below...
