The Prince at one point grinned as his companions appeared to disagree with a decision made on the pitch, but as the players drew in their third and final match against Costa Rica, Harry looked deflated.

In Brazil as part of a royal trip, Harry will also be visiting Chile, and the visit is designed to enhance the partnership between the UK and the two countries.

Earlier in the day the young Prince kicked off his second day in the country by visiting the Team GB Rio 2016 Summer Olympics training camp and meeting young Brazilian athletes.

The previous evening had seen Harry catch another World Cup game - Brazil v. Cameroon - and he got a chance to show off his own football skills, during a kick-about with children, taking on the role of goalkeeper, as well as playing a game of basketball and meeting judo practitioners.
