Prince William and Kate return to Wimbledon to watch Djokovic and Federer final

July 6, 2014

Prince William and the Duchess of Cambridge, née Kate Middleton, couldn't hide their excitement as they took in the last day of Wimbledon in south London. The Duke and Duchess had attended the annual tennis tournament earlier on in the week, but there was no keeping them from watching the men's singles final between Roger Federer and Novak Djokovic on Sunday. Much like her outing on Wednesday, tennis fan Kate recycled an old outfit, this time donning Jonathan Saunder's teal Evelyn Dress that she had worn on the Jubilee Tour in 2012.

Kate's parents Carole and Michael Middleton, her younger sister Pippa and Pippa's boyfriend Nico Jackson also attended.

Hugh Jackman also attended with his wife Deborra-Lee Furness but went unrecognised by many as he sported a new look of a shaven head for his upcoming role as pirate Blackbeard.

The Wolverine actor posted a photo of the couple on Twitter, calling the game an "amazing moment".

"I feel very lucky," Hugh has previously said about attending the Grand Slam. "This is probably in my top five sporting events in the world."

Prince William and Kate's outing to Wimbledon comes just a day after the couple launched the Tour de France in West Yorkshire, alongside William's younger brother Prince Harry. The trio gave competitors a royal send-off from Harewood House, which included Kate cutting the ceremonial ribbon and meeting athletes supported by SportsAid, the charity of which she is patron.

While William and Kate were at Wimbledon, Prince Harry spent the day in Northampton, taking in the motor racing action at the British Grand Prix at Silverstone.
