Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden had her family around her as she celebrated turning 37 on Monday. The first-in-line to the throne was all smiles as she was joined by her husband Prince Daniel, her daughter Princess Estelle and her reigning parents King Carl XVI Gustaf and Queen Silvia. In keeping with tradition, the Swedish royals had travelled to their official summer residence of Solliden Palace on the island of Öland, where they usually mark Victoria's birthday.

It was the celebrant's two-year-old daughter Estelle, however, who captured all attention. The energetic young girl ran circles around the garden as she clapped her hands in delight and giggled away.

The fair-haired royal tried on a garland of red roses, but was quick to remove it and entertained herself instead by blowing bubbles and inspecting her mother's gifts.

Ten facts about Crown Princess Victoria Earlier on in the day, the popular princess greeted locals who had come out in full force to wish her a happy birthday. Victoria was given countless bouquets of flowers and birthday cards, and happily hugged crowds as she carried out a walkabout.
