Prince Harry crowned the UK's favourite royal

September 26, 2014

Prince Harry has been named the nation's favourite royal in a new YouGov poll.

Thanks to his hands-on approach and kind-hearted nature, 30-year-old Harry earned a 97 per cent positivity score ahead of the Queen, Prince William and the Duchess of Cambridge – who came second, third and fourth respectively.

Prince Philip and Prince Charles tied in fifth place while in sixth place was one-year-old Prince George of Cambridge.

According to the 3,000 people surveyed by YouGov, Prince Harry is 'likeable',  'fun loving', 'genuine', 'humorous' and 'in touch with ordinary people'.

Harry's victory in the poll comes amid his numerous charitable appearances, three months after he toured Brazil and Chile  and just weeks after he organised the UK's first Invictus Games.

The sporting event, which was based on the USA's Warrior Games, saw injured veterans take part in a four-day Paralympic-style tournament.
