Wearing a stunning Jenny Packham bespoke pale jade crepe full-length gown, with nude stilettos, the gorgeous outfit accentuated her small bump.

Attendees at the awards ceremony include an eight-year-old, Leon Petrinos from Greece, whose photograph of a cheetah is nominated, and Marc Montes, for his image of a snake near his home in Spain.

David Clapp's shot of the aurora borealis above Iceland’s Mount Kirkjufell is also nominated.

Sir David Attenborough will present the prize for the best photograph to the winner. The 32-year-old royal has been out of the public eye for several weeks after revealing that she was expecting her second child with Prince William and suffering from Hyperemisis Gravidarum, a severe form of morning sickness.

On Tuesday morning her radiant smile spoke volumes about how the Duchess felt about getting back to work this week.Indeed, as she was welcoming Singapore's President Tony Tan and his wife Mary to Britain at the start of their state visit, Prince William's wife shared her excitement at resuming official duties.

When Mrs Tan remarked she was glad Kate could make the engagement, the Duchess replied: "So am I.

I've been looking forward to getting out of the house, that's for sure. "The royal made the admission as she and William sat down for tea with the Singaporean visitors at the the Royal Garden Hotel, which is close to their Kensington Palace base.
