Prince Charles praised young volunteers about their social action work

"I am full of admiration for all those young people across the UK who are already contributing in so many ways," said Charles. The first-in-line to the throne spoke to "#iwill" ambassadors about their experiences of social action and how they were inspiring others to get involved. The Prince in turn answered young people's questions live and spoke about the importance of giving up your personal time to help others. BBC presenter Alex Jones hosted the half-hour hangout, which was streamed online and broadcasted on the British monarchy's YouTube channel. Also appearing alongside Charles was Ronan Dunne, chief executive of O2, who spoke to the "#iwill" ambassadors before the hangout. The campaign has the full support of Prime Minister David Cameron, Deputy Prime Minister Nick Clegg and Leader of the Opposition Ed Miliband. "There are so many different ways in which young people can learn the value of social responsibility and give something back to their community," said David Cameron. "From working with groups like the Scouts and Guides – who have been pillars of our communities for over a hundred years – to embracing newer programmes like the groundbreaking National Citizen Service."
