Prince William and Duchess Kate will be watching Downton this Christmas

This is not the first time that Prince George's dad has talked about his admiration for Downton

Allen Leech — who stars as Tom Branson in the award-winning show — revealed that William and Kate watch Downton  religiously during an interview on Andy Cohen's Watch What Happens Live!."

I was actually at an event last week with Prince William, now the Duke of Cambridge," said Allen. "I met him last week… shook his hand.

He actually said, 'I'm a big fan of the show. Only now that my wife's had a baby'."

The Duchess of Cornwall told Lesley Nicol that she enjoys the show

Prince William's stepmother the Duchess of Cornwall has also revealed a love of Downton. "Camilla loves Downton Abbey," Lesley Nicol, who plays Mrs Patmore, told The Express. "We have spoken and she genuinely loves the show. "When I was talking to Prince Charles he had a slightly glazed look, although being very nice," she added. "Then somebody said, 'Sir, do you know Downton Abbey?' and he replied, 'Oh, I sort of come and go, really.' So I thought, 'I'm on a loser now,' but I think a lot of the royals do watch it."
