Prince Charles and the Duchess of Cornwall made a glamorous red carpet appearance on Tuesday, as they attended the Royal Film Performance and World Premiere of The Second Best Exotic Marigold Hotel. Arriving after the stars of the film, the pair smiled at the crowds as they made their way through the beautifully decorated red carpet - which was actually a pale orange colour - and were greeted by a troupe of Indian dancers.
Prince Charles and the Duchess of Cornwall were the special guests at the Royal Premiere on Tuesday
Held in London's Leicester Square, the dazzling Duchess kept herself warm on the cold February evening in a stunning plum-coloured velvet gown with full-length sleeves, created by designer Anna Valentine.
Camilla accessorised with an organza shawl of a contrasting purple colour, and a four-strand diamond and ruby necklace, which aides confirmed had been a personal gift to Camilla, and included matching drop earrings and bracelet.
Charles, meanwhile, wore a sharp black suit, with a bowtie and pocket square.
The event, which is held by the Cinema and Television Benevolent Fund, is the fund's principal fundraising event and sees money raised from the event going directly to the charity which supports the industry's employees and their families in times of hardship.
Dame Judi Dench, star of the film, and Thandie Newton also attended the premiere
Other guests at the event included the stars of the film, Dame Judi Dench, Dame Maggie Smith, and Celia Imrie.
Thandie Newton also graced the carpet, on the arm of her husband Ol Parker, who wrote the film. Wearing head-to-toe Chanel, Thandie looked stylish in a black gown with white contrasting hem and pearl buttons on the hips.
The entire premiere looked like a scene straight out of the film, which is a sequel to the surprise box-office hit, The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel, with floral decoration and pink and orange curtains creating a stunning effect.
The event is regularly attended by the British royals, with Prince William and the Duchess of Cambridge making an appearance at the last event, held in December 2013.
